Job Overview

At See the Stars, the role of the PHP & WordPress Developer is crucial in helping our clients build websites that effectively reach and support people in need. By developing user-friendly, accessible websites, we empower nonprofit organizations to communicate their services clearly and facilitate easier access to resources. This development work includes creating intuitive navigation, ensuring mobile responsiveness, and implementing features that enhance user interaction and engagement, all tailored to the specific needs of each client to maximize their impact in the community.


Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders across various channels.
  • Ensure that development adheres to end-user specifications and contributes to the strategic goals of the company.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine business requirements and enhance product offerings.
  • Develop and maintain scalable platforms following best practices in software engineering.
  • Design and implement basic marketing automation solutions.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in software development, specifically with PHP and WordPress.
  • Proven ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Solutions oriented, with a strong ability to help business users articulate their needs.


Employment Logistics

This role reports to a senior engineering team member. Communication with the team is handled primarily through Slack, Trello, and Basecamp. We anticipate approximately 10 hours of work, per week and growing from there.


Benefits & Perks:
Hourly Rate: $70 – $90 per hour, based on qualifications
